Own a piece of West Vancouver’s history

Originally built in 1923 for Major Frederick Rush, this Craftsman-style home is one of Ambleside’s earliest houses. Decorative elements include a large, wrap-around verandah, traditional dormers and rooflines, and numerous interior built-in features. While the house’s distinctive form and style have been conserved, it has been substantially rebuilt with new foundation walls and structure, concrete floors with radiant heating, and completely new plumbing, electrical, fire-safety and security systems. The heritage conservation has been carried out in accordance with the directives set out in a planning document prepared by Donald Luxton Associates Inc. one of Canada’s premier heritage consultants.
